5 things customers look for on a driving school's website

Discover what learner drivers are really looking for before they sign up with your driving school.

Why your website matters

Before a learner calls or messages you, they scan your website first. Usually within a minute. What they find in that moment determines whether you become their driving school — or whether they click through to the next one. Here's what visitors are actually looking for.

1. A picture of your lessons

Photos of your lesson car, you as an instructor, and students who've just passed their test make you feel real and approachable. A short video explaining what a first lesson looks like takes the nerves out of it for those who are on the fence. Avoid stock photos of unfamiliar cars.

2. Prices and packages

Don't hide your rates. Put individual lessons, intensive courses, and package prices clearly on one page — including what is and isn't included (theory test, practical exam, course book). Also explain how your approach works: 60 or 90 minutes, automatic or manual, step-by-step progress.

3. Reviews from people who passed

A pass rate is great, but real names and photos of successful students are far more convincing. Link your Google reviews to your site so fresh testimonials come in automatically. One new review a week does more for you than an old "4.9 stars" badge.

4. Frictionless contact

Offer multiple ways to get in touch: a WhatsApp button, a click-to-call button on mobile, and a short sign-up form asking only for name, age, and phone number. Ask for additional details later. Every extra field costs you sign-ups.

5. Area and coverage

Learners search for 'driving school + place name'. Clearly state which towns or neighbourhoods you pick up from, which CBR exam centre you use (Rijswijk, Nieuwegein, Amsterdam-West), and which exam routes you practise. A map showing your coverage area helps both Google and your visitors.
